There was once, more than a thousand years ago, a fortified farm, then a medieval village and finally a large estate. There were once noble Tuscan and European families, a lively community of peasants and great fertile lands. There was once, and there is still our agricultural beer.
J for Julia
Noble Carthaginian girl at the threshold of the Christian era, she was captured and enslaved. Acquired by a Syrian merchant, she traveled for a long time to the seas all over the world, until one day her ship wrecked on the coasts of Corsica, where the beautiful bay of Santa Giulia rises. There, she was accused of her religious faith and suffered martyrdom. In 763 d.C. her relics were overthrown and landed in Livorno, a city of which Julia became Patron Saint. Directed in Brescia, the relics stayed one night in the church of Torre a Cenaia, where today stands the Brewery J63.
63 is a magic number.

In 1463, Luca Pitti, ancestor of Count Robert Pitti, born and raised in our estate, becomes Captain of the People and takes over the Red Cross of the Florentine People which still today enriches the family coat of arms he has donated to us and our wines; 63 is the civic number of the Brewery.
This is our special story. A story told by an ancient inscription in the Tenuta Torre a Cenaia, which we want to tell you again, in a new way.
